What is a riser?  It is a plastic ring 6" stackable that brings the opening of your tank to just below the surface or at the surface, it eliminates or reduces the digging at each pumping.

Why inspect/evaluate?  If you live in macomb county, and you are selling your home, you must have your septic and well inspected before you sell.  In 2001 this law was passed. If you live in other counties it is a good idea to have your system inspected.  I work in Macomb, Oakland, St. Clair, and Lapeer counties.
