What is a Septic Inspection?

A septic inspection is a thorough evaluation of your septic system to ensure that it is functioning properly. During an inspection, Valerie will pump the tank, dig inspection holes in the fields, and will check for water, sludge, and roots.

She will also evaluate the system's design and make sure that it meets current building codes. If your home has a well, Valerie will inspect it.

What is a Riser?

A riser is a plastic or concrete extension that is added to the septic tank to bring the lid to the surface. This makes it easier to access the tank for pumping, cleaning, and inspections. Riser installation is an important part of septic system maintenance because it allows for quick and easy access to the septic tank.

Why Inspect and Evaluate?

If you live in Macomb county, and you are selling your home, you must have your septic system and well inspected before you sell. This law was passed in 2001. If you live in other counties, it is a good idea to have your system inspected. I work in Macomb, Oakland, St. Clair, and Lapeer Counties.
